So... 22 days in testing... What is taking so long?

Doesn't fix log errors, but does work. Please push this!

Working (although I did have to chown my logs).

Can someone get this trough? It's been broken for a while now. Thanks!

Fix looks good but the log files need to be owned by root.

I can confirm, when I change the owner to some other user than root, it starts to fail again.

Works for me on f28 aarch64

this does not fix the problem:

  • systemctl start nginx
  • rm /var/log/nginx/error.log
  • systemctl kill --signal=USR1 nginx
  • systemctl restart nginx
karma

Works for me.

Ok, changing my karma to +1 because the problem lies in a F27->F28 upgrade. A new install doesn't see this problem.

To fix the bug if you've done a F27->F28 update, change all the files in /var/log/nginx to have owner.group of root.root.

Bug #1573942 is marked as private so I can't see it, but this doesn't fix bug #1567768 which is marked as a duplicate of the first one.

Works here in TPROXY mode.

Works for me, and fixes a bug I care about.
