On fc36, xcas looks also OK with 1.9.29-3
The old giac-1.7.0.29 is starting correctly for me on my fc36, but with the 1.9.0 series I have this crashing problem
So I removed my (working) giac-1.7.0.29-3.fc36.x86_64 and tried 1.9.0.29-2.fc36 on x86_64 and still got the crash when starting icas.
tested on x86_64. Thank you for the update, it solves the pb.
I have tested python2 and 3 -giacpy-0.6.5-2 on amd64. it is functionnal without problems with giac-1.4.9.45-2.
However the packaging looks strange: *.pxd files should be in the devel package because they depend on giacpymisc.h. There was also a .cpp file remaining in the non devel package. So I have update giacpy source to 0.6.6 and removed from the install the non required files for python and cython developpers: cpp, pxi, pyx files). So with 0.6.6 only pxd and .h files should be in devel.
runtimes tests looked good to me. I was also able to use libqcas-devel to build giacpy. Thanks
LGTM at runtime and I was able to built qcas and giacpy with giac-devel.
looks good to me on amd64 fc38. no crash on startup with icas and xcas and was able to run giacpy testsuite.
