Everything ok running in an VM.
Updates works much better than abiword-3.0.2-2.fc24. Negligible flicker under X and good behaviour under Wayland expect for the missing text cursor.
This update does not fix #1399152, thus an available MP3 plugin is not found despite being available.
- As stated in #1287835, the screen flickering issue is only fixed in the forthcoming release abiword 3.0.3. It still occurs in a GNOME on Xorg session for the present build and appears to be triggered by the blinking of the text cursor.
- In a GNOME on Wayland session, the text cursor is missing completely.
In a Wayland session, the text body is completely black; even worse than before reported for Xorg as bug #1390020.
Update installs and works just fine for me.

As with the (preferable) alternative QXL/DRM kernel patch, no more flickering with this release when using the default QXL video device :o)
Issue solves https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1384306 but a new issue reported at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1385212 occurs.
