Lenovo P16s Gen2 AMD (7840U + 780M) : everything is working fine. Tests run and uploaded.
the amdgpu crashes with screen freezes ending in forced shutdown are still present on this kernel. reported some info to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/4141 (all kernels I used after 6.13.8-200.fc41.x86_64 have the issue)
kfarnung : confirmed. Any issues related to the wifi being long to connect or reconnect after a standby are gone. It is now fast to connect, works very well and comes back very fast after suspend. Very nice job Fedora :)
Lenovo P16s AMD Gen2. The very slow Wifi issues seems to have been resolved. It took about 30-40 seconds for the Wifi to get online. On this kernel, it is now much, much faster and only takes a few seconds to be available. This also fixes the slow Gnome login because Gnome was waiting, after the password has been entered, for the Wifi to be available before giving access to the desktop. I'm going to test this new kernel today and tomorrow and report more. Since a few kernels I am getting amdgpu crashes that kill the display with an error on "flip_done timed out". That issue requires 10-11 hours of continuous use (with s2idle sleeps between) to occur. so I need 2 days to check if it's fixed, or not. Kernel-tests run and uploaded for this kernel.
This problem is also present in Fedora 42 with kernel 6.14.2-300.fc42.x86_64 I just had to kill the whole machine to reboot it...
@ markec : I am also using a 7840U (+780M) and I have the same result as you. Laptop is very slow to suspend, and coming back online the Wifi requires almost a minute to work again. Booting the laptop seems as fast as previously. From login screen to desktop it's slightly slower but it's about 1-2 seconds more.
Upgraded from F41 to F42. Lenovo P16s Gen2 AMD. Everything seems to work but the suspend/resume seems slower than previously. Closing the lid on F41 it went to sleep in 1 or 2 seconds. Now it's 10 to 15 seconds to get the machine to sleep. Waking up seems as fast as previously though. Laptop is running s2idle as previousy and P-State also. On waking up the laptpo, the Wifi is extremely slow to come back online. It goes through a timeout before coming back (about 30 seconds of wait) and then it takes 15/20 seconds to be connected to the Wifi again (that's 45 seconds, almost a minute to get the wifi back). It does come back, but it's very, very slow to come back. System log shows some timeout on the Qualcomm QCNFA765 Wireless : <error> [1744999339.4270] device (wlp1s0): Couldn't initialize supplicant interface: Timeout was reached. Buttons for sound and display backlight work fine, keyboard light too. Besides the slow "get to sleep" and wifi doing a timeout on wake-up, everything seems to work properly ! Because some actoins are slow BUT working I am going to give a thumbs up. Kernel tests run and uploaded.
been using for almost two days the laptop on kernel 6.13.8-200.fc41.x86_64 uptime over 22h no amdgpu crash, freeze or issue on that kernel.
Issue also happens in 6.13.9 Booted the laptop. Was surfing on hackernews + music playing. About 3 hours later, display froze. The music kept playing for about 5 minutes, then stopped.
I have now booted 6.13.8 ; this is the oldest kernel I have on the boot menu. Might be forced to install an even older kernel if this keeps happening :/

It happens about daily. Sometimes the laptop was used from the last day, and crashes the next day. The error message is not always exactly the same as you can see above. But it's always amdgpu related, with a --cut here-- message from the kernel, and lines in red.

that "commit_planes" keeps coming back.
It takes a long time for the amdgpu to crash. Booted the laptop yesterday, it took 2 days for the crash to happen. Complete crash log is here : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2359116
Something is very wrong with this kernel and the AMD 7840U and its 780M. I keep getting complete and total machine freezes where the only escape is to force a shutdown and restart through the power button.
I have a huge error message about amdgpu each time in the system journal. Here is the end of it :

The keyboard numLight is still working. The laptop seems to be running. But the display is dead : nothing is moving on screen. Trying to get back to login console doesn't work. Mouse no longer works. It seems Wayland is as dead as the amdgpu powering the display.
I'm at 2 freezes per day so it takes some time to happen, but it does happen.
