Hi, thanks for the test, it's indeed a kexec-tools problem and will be fixed in next kexec-tools release. It's not a regression though.

Works for me, the "Invalid character" bug is gone.

BZ#1754170 The crio command fails with: 'Invalid character(s) found in prerelease "module_f30"'
