This update was obsoleted by nano-5.3-4.fc33.
I fail to see how Gentoo-specific syntax highlighting is desired on default Fedora configuration, which cannot be easily overridden by non-privileged users. These files need to be parsed on each single invocation of nano.
GNU nano upstream discourages downstream consumers from taking this approach. These definitions are in the extra directory for a reason. See the following thread on upstream ML for details:
