The issue that IPA ran into was around unhashed passwords. It was added in 1.3.8.5, but removed in 1.3.8.6. So I'm surprised to see the same problem in 1.3.8.7. I have to assume it's "something else" that is causing the failure.

Any details as to why 389-ds-base is causing this FreeIPA WebUI problem? There have not been any changes to how passwords are changed in 389-ds-base in a very long time, and FreeIPA uses its own custom password policy plugin.

Anyone know where we file a ticket to get this "deadlock" fixed? Fedora infrastructure?

I don;t have permission to push this! Someone else needs to do it I'm assuming someone from IPA needs to do it.

This is by design as I mentioned in 1606541. If you need the old perl scripts then you need to also install 389-ds-base-legacy-tools.

I found the issue, a specfile change was not properly backported. I need to respin 1.3.5 and 1.3.6

Does IPA not see any problem with 389-ds-base-1.3.6 though? That version also has the same specfile changes as 1.3.5.
