I just tried dosbox-staging-0.78.0-3.fc35.x86_64.rpm and this version exits normally from full screen mode. This build seems to work well also in other terms but I have not yet tested in detail. Many thanks for finding a quick solution!
Works mostly for me, but crashes when I enter the exit command in full screen mode: "Loguru caught a signal: SIGSEGV" is written to stderr and SELinux alert "SELinux is preventing gdb from read access on the chr_file renderD128." is raised.
Tested with "cyberJack RFID standard".
I can confirm that this update fixes the issue with saving scaled pages which occurs since update to python-pikepdf-4.2.0-1.fc35.
Works fine for me, many thanks for continued support and enhancements.
Tested with package pcsc-cyberjack-3.99.5final.SP14-3.fc35 and card reader "cyberJack RFID standard".

WFM on Ideapad with Core i3-6006U (06-4e-03)
@alexpl: I noticed the same on my laptop, but not on my 2 desktop PCs. Seems not to cause any problems besides the worry to have visual disturbances ;-)
Works for me, including tested bug fixes. I did not check the workaround for #427 aka BZ#1933488 though because the evoking update to qpdf 10.2.0 has been withdrawn from F33 (for now).
Tested successfully with package pcsc-cyberjack-3.99.5final.SP14-1.fc33 and card reader "cyberJack RFID standard".
Impressive list of new useful features, many thanks to you and other contributors!
I'd like to mention though that the German translation for "Split Pages" in the context menu has mistakenly changed from "Seiten teilen" to "Seiten zuschneiden". This can be quite confusing now that the crop operation is located somewhat hidden under "Page Format".
Wouldn't it be better to install uncompressed files in /lib/firmware/amd-ucode until #1955078 gets fixed? Users of AMD CPUs might not be aware of this issue.
