Works fine in casual use.

@sagitter: Like I mentioned, you might have to restart Firefox. Maybe even quit FF, remove mozilla-ublock-origin, restart and quit FF, reinstall m-u-o, and restart FF again. But with some combination of those, you should eventually be able to get the icon to display, and once it does, it should be permanent.

I've never used it before, but it seems to work fine in casual use as a replacement for mozilla-adblockplus, with a sane default configuration. (I did have to quit and restart Firefox an extra time, to get the icon to display and see the Preferences, but that's probably #1508827.)

@rathann: I'm pretty sure I never installed it except as the package mozilla-https-everywhere, so it must be compatible with FF56. Addons shows Version 2017.11.21 (corresponding to the Fedora package), enabled (and not "LEGACY"). No big deal. I'm using mozilla-noscript-5.1.4-1.fc27.noarch.rpm for now.

Is this supposed to work with Firefox 56? It does not (though the latest version of mozilla-https-everywhere does). Under Addons it shows Version 10.1.5.8 which is disabled (instead of Version 5.1.8.3).

jcline: I think if you want this to stay in testing, you'll have to turn off the Autopush (I've never seen it enabled for kernel packages before, usually they get pushed manually, and then to stable instead of batched).

On https://noscript.net/ there's now a 10.1.2 with a few features added. (BTW, I don't suppose you'd be willing to do a one-time build for mozilla-adblockplus? I filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1513731 since it hasn't been updated to WebExtension yet. It seems that the current assignee is no longer active. Ivan Romanov attached a working .spec file.)

Seems to work okay in casual use for the past few days (though I've only been using noscript for about 2 weeks so I'm not the best tester).

After some combination of downgrading, updating, and restarting Firefox, I have the icon back for the moment, and noscript appears functional. Will change my karma to +1 if it stays that way.

At https://noscript.net/ it mentions that there have been reports of the NoScript icon disappearing with version 5.1.12, and a link to a possible fix.

BTW, I filed a Bodhi bug for this issue at https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/issues/1881 .

It looks like there's a Bodhi bug where the new comment caused Bodhi to resubmit this for batched after it already submitted it for stable. Might be good to manually submit this for stable to make sure it gets there.

This needs to go to stable in order for the latest version of nut ( FEDORA-2017-de0f8ded67 ) to be installable. I can confirm that it fixes the broken dep but I haven't done any other testing.
