Works for me.
This kernel looks good to me. The sleep/wake regression I had with kernel 4.5.6-200.fc23.x86_64 is working again. Added bonus is hibernation appears to be working for me as well (tested it 6 times with no failure).
Thank you @urbenlegend for your assistance in helping me troubleshoot this issue. Your suggestion was also advised in a comment from the site @doskias recommended and it didn't work for me in Fedora 23, however, it does work flawlessly (along with sleep/resume) in CentOS 7.2. I have reverted back to kernel 4.4.9 for now and will continue trying with future kernel releases.
@doskias thanks for the link, but unfortunately I have tried his solution and it does not work for me. Resuming from hibernate may work once but does not give consistent results when repeated. I use the procedure highlighted in http://blog.kriptonium.com/2015/12/fedora-23-hibernate.html every time I test new kernels to see if my hibernation issue is resolved. As for my GPU drivers, my system is pure Intel and my graphics card is the Intel HD Graphics 4600. I have used the drivers from the Fedora Updates repo, as well as the drivers released by Intel at https://01.org/linuxgraphics/, but my issue still persists. I have even used the troubleshooting procedures at https://01.org/blogs/rzhang/2015/best-practice-debug-linux-suspend/hibernate-issues. Adding CONFIG_DRM_I915=n to the kernel command worked for me in the past and I have tested this new kernel with and without the CONFIG_DRM_I915=n fix, yet the sleep/wake for me on my system is unstable. I had no issues with the sleep and resume in kernel 4.4.9 and 4.5.5-201; it was only after updating to kernel 4.5.6-200 that the issue reappeared. I appreciate your assistance in this issue, however by adding another +1 to the kernel's karma in response to my comment is a disservice to the Fedora community who are trying to ensure the quality of these packages and need accurate stats to pinpoint any issues users encounter.
@doskias, I am running GNOME on Fedora 23 (x86_64) and apologize for not including that bit of info in my previous comment. But, as per my comment, this happens, "When resuming from sleep..." (Suspend-to-Memory). This occurs when I close the lid on my laptop and it goes into sleep mode. Hibernation (Suspend-to-Disk) has never worked on my system. By the way, the Power Off option in the GNOME System Status menu turns into a Pause button, or Sleep option, when the ALT-key is pressed.
Suspend/Resume Regression: When resuming from sleep the screen stays black/blank and the computer freezes. I cannot access virtual consoles or SSH into the system to gracefully shutdown the machine and must perform a forced reset. It was working on kernel 4.4.9 and I didn't notice any issues with kernel 4.5.5-201. Computer is a Lenovo G510 [i3-4000M].
