Fixed as of 2.10.3-5 and shows "USE_LDAP" as an active code option.
Ah - then I must have got confused somewhere along the way! I'll have to check my notes to see why I didn't include it in EPEL7 those last two times. Thanks for the help! :)
Hi, @avij. Thanks for testing and the karma. However, as shown in the changelog section of the spec file, libmemcached support has been included since 2.8.3-1 (May 12 2013).
It should only be a build requirement, not an install requirement for the local system.
Thanks, Matt. Will re-submit. And I just learned today that the repetitive changelog silliness apparently automatically happens if you submit a new update before a prior one hits stable. So I'll go in and manually edit them after the fact.

Drat. Great catch, avij. That dependency is a total Charlie Foxtrot, and I don't see any way to work around it without human intervention and using an RPMForge package. So it looks like EL5 support is out for this package.
