Works and solves camera issues for some people.
Works here, however there's a new point release including the patch now: https://github.com/flatpak/xdg-desktop-portal/releases/tag/1.18.3
I can confirm that this fixes issues in basically every gtk4 app on my Thinkpad T400 (Mobile Intel GM45 Express (CTG)).
I also can't confirm the issues mentioned above with Chromium (didn't try yandex and brave) on: - Mobile Intel GM45 Express (CTG) - Intel HD Graphics 530 (SKL GT2) - AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
While it works gread for me on AMD, Intel and RPi4, on my Thinkpad T400 (crocus) Gnome-Shell shows heavy glitches (including a black background) and then crashes seconds after login. Could be that this is fixed in 23.3.1 already.
Seems to work well on AMD Ryzen 9 5950X + Radeon RX 6700, as well as a Thinkpad T460p and T400.
For the AMD setup it even seems to fix an annoying amdgpu page fault issue (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/9939).
This somehow broke the graphical password prompt (pkexec) on ninja install for me, always asking me to use sudo instead, so adding negative feedback. Feel free to ignore if I'm the only one.
Work for me and was reported to successfully make Surface Go devices work with Pipewire \o/
Works well, no duplicated cameras anymore in the settings.
Turns out the reenablement of the device provider introduced a small regression: recording video in Cheese produces files with broken timestamps after this update. See https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/merge_requests/1589 for a possible fix.
Works well here, including the gstreamer device provider.
Works well on my Thinkpad T460p and Ryzen 9 5950X Desktop.
Audio playback, recording, shreen-sharing and camera (via portal) all work well for me.
Works for me, can't reproduce BZ#2131206, neither before nor after the update.
Work fine here on Gnome (where xdg-desktop-portal-kde is not needed).
