no problem spotted
This works on the new kernel update 4.0.5-300.fc22.x86_64. PLEASE NOTE: This does NOT work on the earlier kernel, version 4.0.4-303.fc22.x86_64. I have tested it multiple times, rebooting back & forth between the 2 kernels. On new kernel, keyboard works for LUKS password screen, & keyboard & mouse power levels are shown in the OS. With new kernel, all is well. Thank you!!! :D :D :D
Critical path update approved
I now know that I was wrong about it not working on the old kernel. I was told how to rebuild the initramfs, & I can confirm that it does indeed work perfectly fine on the old kernel once that's done. All is well. : ) All info: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1229650
Seems to work OK.

Early microcode functionality broken (disabled by dracut) because of kernel-config change within 4.4 release.
