@brallan Please file a bug and post details, at least a gdb stacktrace. Likely unrelated to qt-creator since you appear to be the only one to hit this.
It seems stable so far (I will update if anything bad happens), but:
It is still affected by a bug that prevents the Welcome screen from being displayed in KDE.
The workaround is to set the commandline to
QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=fusion qtcreator. Can it be added by the package installer (under KDE only)? Anyway, at least a release note should probably be added.
The ClangCodeModel plugin seems not to be included. The Qt Company people seem to be confident that it has greatly improved since QtCreator 3.5. Or it is meant to be built manually by those who really want it?

This update has reached 7 days in testing and can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
qt-creator-3.6.0-2 [1] will also include the clang code model.
