Just resumed from suspend on ThinkPad T450s and my bluetooth mouse connected. Maybe it was a fluke, but if it wasn't, that would mean that bug #1336297 was fixed. Interesting...

Runs good on my machine. It passes the kernel regression test. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1339855 remains fixed as it was in 4.5.7. I'm running upstream versions of the intel graphics stack: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/bollocks/intelblood/. I think I'll distro sync back and see how it works.

This kernel looks good to me. The sleep/wake regression I had with kernel 4.5.6-200.fc23.x86_64 is working again. Added bonus is hibernation appears to be working for me as well (tested it 6 times with no failure).

on lenovo w541 some widgets behaves weird, like terminator doesn't echo my keystrokes, windowmaker does not display some buttons, like [exit] in exit windowmaker dialog.

Works fine for me. I have F24 server with a LAMP stack and Plex. I also have a gaming machine that has an Nvidia card. Both are running fine.

The mouse flickers and disappears intermittently after this kernel upgrade. This does not happen when booting back to kernel 4.5.7-300.

I have failure with waking from sleep with this kernel update that I do not have with 4.5.7-300

When the laptop wakes the display does not return

Apologies for above duplicate, just managed to login.

I have failure with waking from sleep with this kernel update that I do not have with 4.5.7-300

When the laptop wakes the display does not return, and no combination of keyboard combinations seems to get it back.

With previous kernel, I simply hit a key and the display returns as normal

Nvidia broken...

User Icon anonymous commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

With kernel-4.6.3-300.fc24.x86_64, when my screen is turned-off after inactivity (or super-L), resuming doesn't work : black screen, nothing happens. I have to enter ctrl-alt-f3 then ctrl-alt-f2 for login screen to be shown properly. Booting with kernerl-4.5.7-300 have not this issue.

Doesn't boot on ASUS Zenbook UX305CA (2016). Blank screen with no output and also unable to override boot (Esc, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc) after selecting the 4.6.3 kernel from GRUB.

Will need to continue using 4.5.5 as still works OK.

User Icon serbik commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

Seems to be similar bug to previous comments https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1352700

Same issue with Lenovo X1 Carbon (2016 with Skylake).

on lenovo w541 intel graphics has issues - broken redrawing

User Icon anonymous commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

System starts up but constantly flashes in and out of boot screen (intro start up text is not present but you can see the green and red lines on the left hand side of the screen). Changing to override boot Ctrl+alt+f1 stops the flashing but startx would repeat the flashing screen issue. Absolutely no problem on previous kernel 4.5.5.

User Icon anonymous commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

Same here. With Acer v3-772g. After boot screen flashes and have some artefacts. The system is with hybrid graphics:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20GHz 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) 01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK106M [GeForce GTX 760M] (rev a1)

I think the problems is related to Intel video drivers.

kernel update 4.6.3 not working for me on thinkpad t460s works fine with 4.5.5

User Icon bbhavsar commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

Doesn't boot on Thinkpad 460s (skylake ) for 4.6.3

Going good with 4.5.5

User Icon anonymous commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

Toshiba Z30 / Intel Haswell i7

kernel 4.6.3 does not boot, completely freeze after grub screen, need hard reboot! works fine with 4.5.5 and 4.5.7

but 4.6.3 does boot with nomodeset parameter

intel video driver bug ?

User Icon anonymous commented & provided feedback 8 years ago

Does not work for me, 4.6.3-300 shows only black screen after boot, the previous kernel 4.5.5-300 boots fine.

Also I am using Intel built in graphics card on a Toshiba Tecra laptop http://www.toshiba.nl/discontinued-products/tecra-a50-a-160/
