Update works, other channels are not automatically muted when a call comes through, though the link to the Wiki on bug #519196 is not working. I am not sure of the exact criteria because of this, so I will not fail the feedback.
I tried with VLC and it correctly paused the music. It didn't work with flash, but I suppose this is because it does not declare it's stream type and hence pulse does not know whether/how to pause it?
