4.6.7-300 from repos does not loading, the process hangs before rhgb indicator starts, so there is no active tty at all, all screens are grey, no cursor.
@poma (anonymous) - why don't you remove "rhgb" - just because you don't see anything with a crippeled boot output don't mean there wouldn't be something helpful or even that "rhgb" could be the issue at all while it's init phase
Me again (alexyecu here and later).
hreindl , I tried.
No result.
Hmm, the situation looks like...
There is no kmod-nvidia for 4.6.7-300 in my system, cause nvidia 367.35 is buggy (confirmed by NVIDIA), so I use 367.27 from run-package, downloaded from NV site. After updating the kernel I was ready to get system without graphical mode, but with working tty, so that`ll be not a problem to rebuild kernel module for nvidia.
But! I can see fail of lxdm.service in my boot log (after loading from 4.6.6 and watching info about previous boot), but I can't get working tty!
And this looks like a serious bug for me.
Skylake, nvidia with proprietary drivers.
Previous kernels work fine in the completely same configuration.

Hangs for me very early (at initializing SMP). Dell Latitude E5470, Intel i5-6440HQ 4.6.6 is ok.
