Experiencing periodic plasma freezing similar (but at least not as severe) as those issues like bug #1193742 fixed when https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2015-8616 switched to using dri2.

I'm having issues getting the screen to come back on after I lock the desktop in Gnome. The only way to get the screen back on is to plug in an external display, wait for the display to appear, and then unplug that display. I have to do that every time the laptop display goes to sleep.

I'm on a ThinkPad X1 Carbon (3rd gen) with kernel 4.3.5-300.fc23.x86_64.

Additional data points re. @mhayden's issue: I don't see the Gnome screen locking problem with Ivy Bridge (HD4000) or Diamondville (GME945) machines (with kernels 4.3.5 or 4.4.2). So it's likely an issue with recent chipsets.

Breaks plasmashell. In my case, I am unable to start plasmashell at all with this update applied. Please, revert it.

This is outrageous. What is the purpose of intentionally breaking Plasma 5? Plasma freezes when unlocked. I have to restart plasmashell after everytime I unlock my system.

This update breaks the video rendering on external monitors connected to my Dell XPS 15 9550 (Skylake) through the displaylink driver 1.0.335 from http://nothen.com.ar/en/support-for-displaylink-adapters-on-linux/ . I had to revert to the previous version.

Plasma freezes frequently with notifications pop up

This fixes it for me:

dnf downgrade xorg-x11-drv-intel
