Sincere apologies for the amount of time it's taken to work out what was going wrong with my notebook's adaptor and report this. If I could have spent time isolating and reporting sooner I would have.
Please push it again, the problem was a policy change in bluez. Upstream project members pointed me to the solution. I've closed the bug report and given details there. Sorry for the inconvenience

Unpushing this update, I'm probably going to orphan blueman as upstream isn't that active in fixing issues.
