bugfix update in Fedora 25 for audacity

Status: stable 2 years ago

Audacity is approaching 2.1.3 release series but there is many fixes that have been applied by the developers since the 2.1.2 release.

Particular items that need testing include:

  • Transport toolbar icons becoming transparent (but still usable).

  • Device toolbar vertical space too small.

  • Startup crash when run under Wayland.

  • Change to use wxGTK3 using the GTK2 toolkit.

Testing this version will also give an insight into new features that have been developed over this year.

Please provide appropriate Karma against this update if you test it, and if it solves your bug - also note the bug number. In bugzilla, reply to the "update comment" if you tested the build - and note the outcome - bug still present or seems to be resolved.

zdenek : Please investigate further. That smells like some conflict in wxGTK compat packages, but isn't reproducible here. I've come from "dnf install audacity" to "dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update audacity" without any such problems.
