Can You please comment on the security aspect of this fix? I seem to be able to remotely crash Your hamster instance, if I persuade You to open it...but other than that?

Sorry, I can not give more information about security aspects. The reporter made the bug private cause there is private data, obviously. Hamster could crash when the database has gone to be bogus.
