It seems that I cannot install this update:
@gwendal see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1499683 and https://pagure.io/packaging-committee/issue/721 .
@adamwill thanks! I deleted all java-9 packages, then removed
/usr/lib/jvm/java-9-*
, and reinstalled successfully. Should I add karma again?@zzambers @michalvala Hold on, how can you give +1 karma when upgrading to this package is broken? This should have never landed in stable. It's not acceptable to break upgrades on purpose when there is a well-documented solution to avoid the problem.
@rathann this is the first release so update does not make sense here. java-9-openjdk-9.0.0.181-1.fc26 was just in testing and you could use it on your own risk. That's what test builds are for.
@michalvala If this were true, this update would've been marked as
newpackage
. It's marked asbugfix
. Also, this is F27 update, not F26, so I don't know why you're talking about .fc26 package. Builds just for testing without the expectation they'll reach stable, should be released via COPR, not updates-testing.
