uBlock's icon in the toolbar does not appear on Firefox 57 after installing. It's showed on Icecat instead.
I've never used it before, but it seems to work fine in casual use as a replacement for mozilla-adblockplus, with a sane default configuration. (I did have to quit and restart Firefox an extra time, to get the icon to display and see the Preferences, but that's probably #1508827.)
@sagitter Obviously it works for me, did you quit firefox before installing and restart it twice afterwards?
@sagitter: Like I mentioned, you might have to restart Firefox. Maybe even quit FF, remove mozilla-ublock-origin, restart and quit FF, reinstall m-u-o, and restart FF again. But with some combination of those, you should eventually be able to get the icon to display, and once it does, it should be permanent.
@robatino: It works partially

@rathann I don't know if it's a bug of Firefox but uBlock worked until now with FF57 when downloaded from mozilla addons website.
@sagitter Please remove all installed uBlock Origin versions, including the one in your home dir and try again.
I had to reset all configuration settings of default FF profile.
Now uBlock is working.
