Hallo,

is the patch for CVE-2017-8849 included in this version?

https://www.kde.org/info/security/advisory-20170510-2.txt

Yes, of course

Thanks for clarifying.

Smb4k 1.2.3 was released in February and the fresh KDE-advisory states

Update to smb4k 2.0.1 (when released) Or apply the following patches: smb4k 1.2.3: https://commits.kde.org/smb4k/71554140bdaede27b95dbe4c9b5a028a83c83cce

so an update to Smb4k 1.2.3 is in itself not enough to mitigate the problem and the CVE/Bug is not mentioned here..that's why I was concerned.

https://src.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/smb4k.git/tree/smb4k.spec?id=05ec32b96de40c61bf3f70e21dabee9820e1ef4e

we got Smb4k 1.2.3 plus security patch applied :

# security fix CVE-2017-8849
Patch1: smb4k-cve-2017-8849.patch

I will push 2.0.1 in f27 soon as I tested ...
Thanks.
