Building some of the example sketches produces the following seg fault error (ASCIITable and ADXL3xx were two that failed among the random selection I tried).

This update has reached 7 days in testing and can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
So, the compiler issue is solved in F27 with https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/avr-gcc-7.2.0-1.fc27, currently in updates-testing. I think I will go on and push this one so we can move on.
