This version allows me to use hg, as long as I don't try to access git repos. With the previous version, hg wouldn't run at all (if hggit is enabled). To also get git repos to work, the dulwich package needs to be updated, or, better, the hggit/_ssh.py file needs to be fixed so that the run_command method accepts all the named arguments that it is called with (i.e. add password and key_filename).
Sorry, but I have to report the same thing. With this version hg worksfind again for non git repositories, but it crashes on git repositories. Seems to be an upstream problem since the latest version from https://bitbucket.org/durin42/hg-git gives me the same error (I should have notied that before I reported this in the first place).

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

When also updating python2-dulwich (and dulwich-core) to 0.19.2-1.fc28, this version of hg-git seems to work. With the extension enabled, I can work both with remote mercurial and git repositories over ssh. I'm going to give a positive karma on this now.

Yes this is confirmed on my side as well. The updated dulwich 0.19.2-1 combined with the updated hg-git version 0.8.11-1 solved the issue for me.
