fwupd-1.2.2-1.fc29

FEDORA-2018-862c9c5502 created by rhughes 5 years ago for Fedora 29
  • New upstream release
  • Add support for devices that support fastboot
  • Add more standard USB identifier GUIDs
  • Add the PCR0 value as the device checksum for system firmware
  • Add Dell TB18DC to the supported devices list
  • Allow replacing the last byte in the image when using 'dfu-tool replace-data'
  • Append the UEFI capsule header in userspace rather than in the loader
  • Check the device checksum as well as the content checksum during verify
  • Correctly parse format the version numbers correctly using old metadata
  • Fix a crash if AMT returns an empty response
  • Fix a regression when doing GetReleases on unsupported hardware
  • Remove the Wacom DTH generation hardware from the whitelist
  • Sanitize the version if the version format has been specified

I get the following from gnome-software: "Sorry, something went wrong: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.freedesktop.fwupd: GDBus Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.fwupd': timed out (service_start_timeout=25000ms)

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

Completely broken as above and breaks gnome-software as well.

OpenQA hit the same error - see the failed desktop_update test.

I don't know if it's of any help, but at least in my case I think this change causes problems:

- Add the PCR0 value as the device checksum for system firmware

because I'm seeing this message:

systemd[1]: Starting Firmware update daemon...
fwupd[3135]: Failed to get PCR0s: Child process exited with code 1
fwupd[3135]: Failed to load engine: Failed to prepare SQL: no such column: protocol
systemd[1]: fwupd.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
systemd[1]: fwupd.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
systemd[1]: Failed to start Firmware update daemon.

Oh, and a very happy new year!

After removing pending.db, it runs. Something about missing column in some SQL table. Not going to give karma.
