Operation of MATE desktop appears to be normal.

As noted for F27, F26 also build with gcc-7.2.1-2.fc26: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/4.14.17/200.fc26/data/logs/x86_64/root.log So security regression (retpoline).
