works for me
After updating I couldn't boot anymore. I'm using A DELL Latitude E6420 with full disk encryption. After typing in the password (fpr the decryption) it said something about "could not mount luks-**** partition". This even happens when trying again from an older kernel version, so I think it has something to do with the "kernel-header" package, as this is the only package of the kernel that isn't installed in parallel but actually updated/overwritten. Unfortunately I just updated to Fedora 28 yesterday and haven't tried to update to 4.16.9 , as I'm a bit scared now. Could someone else test this kernel with full disk encryption? Thank you!

WFM, Thinkpad X250
Running fine on an ASUS H87I-PLUS motherboard.
Hi @emarci,
Without seeing the logs it's difficult for me to say what the problem is, but if it's happening with older kernels that used to work, it's very likely not a problem with this update. Have you filed an issue about this?
@emarci - running FDE with LUKS on my T450s, everything works just fine. Are you sure the issue is related to the kernel update and not to disk corruption?
