wfm, regression tests all passed: desktop 16GB Intel i7-3770 CPU, laptop 16GB Intel i7-3610QM CPU - took an excessively long time for the performance run, about 106 minutes, - all using the Mate Desktop Environment

Won't power-off for me - from either gnome-shell or 'shutdown -h now' - reboots after around a 3 - 5 second pause. Happens on both:

  • Dell XPS 13 9350
  • Dell XPS 15 9560

and does not happen with kernel 4.15.17 or older.

Works for me on one AMD server, one Intel desktop with Nvidia proprietary drivers and one Atom laptop. No regressions noted.

No regressions spotted on: * IvyBridge + Radeon HD7670M (suspend on login with lid closed seems gone) * AMD Athlon X2 260 + Radeon R7 240 (now also working on xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu - hello Vulkan!) * Dell Optiplex 780 (E8400)

@gerhardw thanks for testing and reporting that. It looks like that's bz 1566258 and a patch has been submitted upstream with a potential fix, but hasn't been reviewed and accepted yet.

I started a test build with that patch applied, when the build is done can you confirm it fixes the problem?
