A recent rpm upgrade caused Python byte-compilation not taking place outside Python sitelib anymore. This update fixes that regression and additionally allows Fedora 28 users to opt-in to the Fedora >= 29 behavior of not byte-compiling outside sitelib.

Only users building Python packages are affected.

How to install

Updates may require up to 24 hours to propagate to mirrors. If the following command doesn't work, please retry later:

sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2018-bfd076926b
