I upgraded to avogadro2-libs-1.91.0-1 and kalzium-18.04.3-3 without the dnf error I mentioned previously. kalzium-18.04.3-3 doesn't show the top two menu rows and the information panel on the left and legend on the bottom as shown in its documentation https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/kdeedu/kalzium/quick-start.html
kalzium-18.04.3-3 shows just the periodic table view and the bottom row with the element and mass. I tried downgrading to avogadro2-libs-1.90.0-15 and kalzium-18.04.3-1, but kalzium's interface was still missing those parts. kalzium-18.04.3-1 did show all the parts about 6 days ago when I got the dnf error and I was using Qt 5.10.1. I upgraded to Qt 5.11.1 on Aug 28. I guess that a problem with Qt 5.11.1 might be the reason for these missing interface parts.
I installed avogadro2-1.91.0-1 and it runs fine with basic testing. avogadro2-1.91.0-1's Help - About window shows Version: 1.90.0 AvogadroLibs Version: 1.91.0 Qt Version: 5.11.1 and the top window bar shows Untitled - Avogadro 1.90.0. I'm unsure if the interface version should be 1.90.0 or 1.91.0.

Given that you already reported the avogadro interface version bug, I'll give +1 for avogadro2 by itself. I'm unable to test kalzium's usage of avogadro2-libs-1.91.0-1 because the missing parts in kalzium's interface with Qt 5.11.1 include the molecular editor part which I guess uses avogadro-libs. I filed the following bugzilla entry about the kalzium issues to inform its maintainers in more detail. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1625282
This update has reached 7 days in testing and can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
The kalzium interface issue was because of abnormal configuration settings in ~/.config/kalziumrc which I fixed by renaming that file. All the parts of kalzium interface are visible to me, and those I've tested are functional. I opened a few molecules in kalzium's molecular editor which I suppose uses avogadro2-libs which all appeared correctly. So I'll give +1 for kalzium and its use of avogadro2-libs.

I have avogadro2-libs-0:1.90.0-15.fc28.i686 installed. kalzium-18.04.3-1.fc28 requires libAvogadroCore.so, libAvogadroIO.so, libAvogadroQtGui.so, libAvogadroQtOpenGL.so, libAvogadroQtPlugins.so, libAvogadroRendering.so. avogadro2-libs 1.91.0-1 provides those libraries but with the .1 suffix such as libAvogadroCore.so.1. kalzium might need to be rebuilt to use those new library names.

kalzium needs to be rebuilt against new avogadro2-libs buildroot override for f28.

It's a known bug.
