enhancement update in Fedora 27 for grub2

Status: stable a year ago
  • Update to fix "Apollo Lake" system-on-a-chip x86 machines.
  • Fixes "grub2-efi" compatibility provides/obsoletes for upgrades
  • Makes grub2-efi.i686 be a package again for upgrades there.
  • grub2-2.02-22.fc27 should fix the issue seen on Aarch64 machines.

so. I'm not 100% sure this package is the problem yet, but our atomic aarch64 images won't boot in our updates-testing tree and I suspect it has something to do with this package. see https://pagure.io/atomic-wg/issue/412. I'm going to -1 for now until we can determine it is not grub.

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

confirmed. I built a tree with only this new grub from updates testing and the aarch64 system fails to boot in the same way as shown above. Here is a link to the image: https://dustymabe.fedorapeople.org/new-grub-aarch64.qcow2
