Add patches to ensure proper unit unloading after session shutdown
Instead of rebooting you can also simply run "systemctl --user daemon-reload" after updating. The changes become active immediately.
There are different tests one can do:
- Log in on a TTY/via SSH, log out of GNOME, on the TTY check that "systemctl --user -a" does not show any gnome related units (in particular not gnome-session-shutdown.target and gnome-session-x11-services.target).
- run "sudo killall -11 gnome-shell" twice (first one is caught), lock back in immediately, check that keybindings work
- Shut down the machine from a logged in GNOME Session, without the change systemd will take a long time to stop the user manager
The quickest verfication will be the one where you kill the GNOME Shell.
