I think this actually broke FreeIPA. See the openQA test results: there are several failures. Now it's been pushed stable, I've seen the tests fail for another update, a Firefox update which clearly couldn't be breaking tests that don't involve a browser: https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=28&build=Update-FEDORA-2019-34f798420a&groupid=2 . It seems that login as a test user at a console (which should work) fails. Will look into it a bit more.
@adamwill do you know if there is a way to get SSSD logs from the failing freeipa openQA tests?
