LyX 2.3.3 is the result of on-going efforts to make our stable version more reliable and more stable. One important change is that emergency files are now renamed when users wish to save them. As a result, older emergency files are not over-written. One major update allows for the editing of the contents of the user-provided preamble, and the contents of ERT insets, in external editors, a request that goes back to 2003 and bug #991.
