Tested on x86 KVM VM, cloud instance, and on various ARMv7 and aarch64 devices inc Jetson TX2, various RPi2/3 devices (v7/a64 modes), i.MX6 devices (udoo-neo, wandboard, Hummingboard2), Pine64, PandaES, Cubieboard, OrangePi PC, various BeagleBones
BZ#1758597 Backport patch for SELinux labeling before policy load
Warning : after installing kernel 5.3.5 none of my VMs are booting, they boot into (EDK2) EFI shell. Even worse,
because there is the message "no mapping found", it is not possible to start fs0: and run the boot command !
This update has been submitted for stable by labbott.
Update : Today I had a selinux-policy package update and now kernel 5.3.5 works as expected !
VMs are booting, not sure if it was the backported selinux fix or the rearranged disk controllers.
5.3.5 has run like previous 5.3 kernels. paxtest had the error "Main executable randomisation (PIE) randomness is less than 28 bits (26)". The other default tests passed or skipped. The ethernet transmit queue time outs in #1733837 and the wifi errors in #1733723 and #1760658 have still happened with 5.3.5.
