if compiled and installed then should work.
thank you.
I don't know if I'm doing this right but I installed the packages on F32 and rebooted. it doesn't show up as the background. in gnome, in the background settings, i try to add /usr/share/backgrounds/f33/default/f33.png as the background but it's a broken symlink - lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 24 Oct 5 21:33 f33.png -> ./default/f33-02-day.png and I don't know if its a limitation of the GNOME dialog but i can't selected the animated xml.
@duffy It reads like f33-backgrounds-base is missing. Reinstall both f33-backgrounds-base and f33-background-gnome. Then on Gnome, Settings -> Background. The animated xml should be there.

@luya the base package is there:
[duffy@pandariomh default]$ rpm -qa | grep f33-backgrounds f33-backgrounds-extras-xfce-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-extras-mate-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-gnome-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-kde-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-extras-gnome-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-extras-base-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-base-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-extras-kde-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-xfce-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch f33-backgrounds-mate-33.0.6-1.fc33.noarch
but the xml isnt showing up in the background chooser
(note this is an F32 system im testing it on, not sure if thats why?)
This update has been pushed to stable.
@duffy That is weird. I tested the installation on Fedora 32 and have no problem choosing the animated background.
@duffy It turned out a bug related to a typo inside the Makefile tarball causing the wallpaper failing to display on some desktop environments. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1885792 The fix is on the way.
