Show-stopper bug with iwlwifi firmware not loading at boot. Linux is looking for badly constructed ucode file name e.g. (null)39.ucode. See https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206661
Also does not fix this one: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1809681
These are not regressions from rc3
ok, didn't realise the business rule about regressions. The karma guide when you provide comment says "is the update generally functional" - which for me is not the case.
is there a way to clear the karma rating then ?
I think you can just give a +1 to cancel it out. So the general rule is, if it is a regression from what is currently on that branch, it would get negative karma. If it is not a new regression it would not. Particularly with kernel, we move quickly, and it may take a few updates before a bug is fixed, but denying an update because an older bug is not fixed just delays fixes for others. Especially as we are on a pre-beta test branch, on a pre-release kernel, the changeset posted each week contains hundreds of bug fixes.
correction to previous karma -1 regarding https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206661
Default & performance regression tests PASS, "libhugetlbfs" & "paxtest" was skipped. Tested on Fedora 32 Workstation (x86_64), PRIME Z270-A, i5-7600K, 16GB DDR4, RX 580 8GB (MESA 20.0.1) & 970 EVO M.2.
