FWIW, installing all packages (including
terminus-fontswith*.otbandterminus-fonts-legacy-x11with*.pcf.gz) works OK for on current F32. Both gnome-terminal and emacs 26 show text in Terminus, even if gnome-terminal lists those weird broken italic variant which the font software stack insists on poorly inventing (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1827905).
