There is still no 76f9764cc3d5 ("drm/i915: Introduce a vma.kref") so the 5.5.8 is completely unusable so far due to rapid lockup.
Default & performance regression tests PASS, "libhugetlbfs" & "paxtest" was skipped. Tested on Fedora 31 Workstation (x86_64), PRIME Z270-A, i5-7600K, 16GB DDR4, RX 580 8GB (MESA 19.2.8) & 970 EVO M.2.
Seems ok. Works on baremetal (non UEFI) AMD Ryzen5 3600, Mainboard MSI B450M Mortar Max with prop. nvidia driver from rpmfusion.org (GTX980 card), VirtualBox 6.1.4 from Oracle and Gnome-Desktop. Regression test passed (paxtest, selinux-dac-controls and libhugetlbfs skipped)
Bug #1808191 still present on T450s, so not giving karma.
Tested on AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with Radeon RX570 Series GPU (POLARIS10) with 32GB. No issues reported.
It works ok on T480s, i5-8250U, iHD 620 T480, i7-8650U, iHD 620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150
works for me: desktop 16GB Intel i7-3770 CPU, laptop 8GB Intel i5-2520M CPU Lenovo T420 - all using the Mate Desktop Environment (the desktop is more than 10 times faster than the laptop, sometimes they both run the performance test in about 10 minutes)
i7-9700K(UHD Graphics 630): kernel regression test passed. Works fine for daily use. build and work fine simple kernel module.
Tested on Lenovo Thinkpad X1 7th Gen Model 20QD running i5-8265U CPU with 16GB of RAM. Both regression (lost the link) and benchmark tests have passed
aarch64 and x86_64.
Works well on Lenovo T460p.
Works better than some earlier 5.5.x (4 or 5 I think) on my Thinkpad X1c7, which had broken sound and/or suspend. Never tried 5.5.7 unfortunately.
works fine in day to day use with cuda workloads.
