freeipa-4.8.7-1.fc32

FEDORA-2020-f18ca961e6 created by abbra 4 years ago for Fedora 32

Upstream release 4.8.7. Release notes: https://www.freeipa.org/page/Releases/4.8.7

Important changes

  • DNS configuration now provides two extension files, /etc/named/ipa-ext.conf and /etc/named/ipa-options-ext.conf. /etc/named.conf is now owned by IPA. The file is overwritten on installation and all subsequent updates. All user modification will be lost. During upgrade there is a one-time backup of named.conf to named.conf.ipa-backup. It allows users to salvage their customization and move them to one of the two user config files which are included by named.conf. This is due to the way how bind handles options {} stanza: there is no possibility to specify options {} multiple times.

How to install

Updates may require up to 24 hours to propagate to mirrors. If the following command doesn't work, please retry later:

sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2020-f18ca961e6

openQA tests failed (you can't see this ATM because of the data centre switch, but I can!) because the selinux-policy this depends on is not pushed stable yet. I'll re-run them when it is.

@adamwill thanks, I see a lot of packages stuck a push from testing to stable limbo.Hopefully we'll get this resolved soon.

OK, this looks like it has another unfulfilled dep too :/. It needs bind-dyndb-ldap >= 11.3-1 , and that update was only just pushed to testing a day ago. This can't go stable before that does; we should disable autopush (for both karma and time).

welp, this'll do it

For FEDORA-2020-4a89a47819 OpenQA tests succeeded. Perhaps we should combine the updates. I submitted original bind-dyndb-ldap before FreeIPA 4.8.7 release in a hope to get it through first.

I cannot remove the other update, only to demote it. However, that doesn't allow to combine updates. @adamwill perhaps you can do that?

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

@adamwill, I re-ran OpenQA tests now that bind-dyndb-ldap is in stable and they are all good except update.upgrade_server_domain_controller and update.upgrade_realmd_client which failed to set up VMs:

Reason: setup failure: Cannot find HDD_1 asset hdd/disk_f_server_3_x86_64.img!

As discussed on IRC, that's because I adjusted how the tests work recently, and if you schedule the current test code with an older scheduler you'll have issues because variables the current test code expects to be set (specifically UP1REL, in this case) won't be set by the older scheduler code. Please update your fedora_openqa checkout :)

I've re-scheduled the affected flavors with the current scheduler code, the tests should pass now.

This update has been pushed to stable.
