Can I also get an F35 build?

User Icon egreshko commented & provided feedback 2 months ago

This does not start spice-vdagent for the user at Plasma Login. I see

[egreshko@f34k ~]$ systemctl --user status spice-vdagent.service ○ spice-vdagent.service - Spice guest session agent Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/user/spice-vdagent.service; static) Active: inactive (dead)

[egreshko@f34k ~]$ more /usr/lib/systemd/user/spice-vdagent.service [Unit] Description=Spice guest session agent

[Service] ExecStart=/usr/bin/spice-vdagent -x

I must be doing something wrong. I downloaded the packages that exist on my system, I had previously upgraded to spice-vdagent-0.21.0-3.fc34.

libkworkspace5-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-common-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-geolocation-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-geolocation-libs-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-libs-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-wayland-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm plasma-workspace-x11-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64.rpm

But when I try to upgrade those packages I get, with --best, plenty of errors starting off with.

Error: Problem 1: cannot install the best update candidate for package plasma-workspace-5.22.3-1.fc34.x86_64 - nothing provides plasma-lookandfeel-fedora = 5.22.3-2.fc34 needed by plasma-workspace-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64 Problem 2: package plasma-workspace-x11-5.22.3-2.fc34.x86_64 requires plasma-workspace = 5.22.3-2.fc34, but none of the providers can be installed

and more.

I installed the update via

sudo dnf --refresh --enablerepo updates-testing update spice-vdagent plasma-workspace

And was installed, and then tested OK. That is when the user logs into a graphical session they get /usr/bin/spice-vdagent -x running under their user name.

I have added a couple of comments in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1951580.
