After this upgrade the toolbar, previously hidden, has returned, and I can no longer hide it in the settings menu - the 'toolbars shown' menu option is gone, along with the option to 'show statusbar' and 'configure toolbars...' - downgrading to 21.04.1-2.fc34 restores the missing functionality.

The 21.04 update to konsole5 introduces a very strange toolbar that I do not seem to be able to hide. Reverting to konsole5-20.12.1-1.fc34 fixes this issue.
Those of you wanting to make the toolbars go away, right click on the menu bar and uncheck "Main Toolbar" and "Session Toolbar"
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
