Both this and dracut-054-6 makes my system boot hang for a few minutes plus when I login into my session is broken (no networkmanager) with a log of systemd errors on startup
Downgrading to dracut-053 and running
dracut -f -v
fixes the issue. Once upgraded and randracut -f -v
the problem comes back.This update has been pushed to stable.
For me (BRTFS subvolumes on top of LUKS) 054 dracut causes freeze on boot on the "Starting switching root" until it times out and boot log is filled with error messages seemingly pointing to dbus being unable to start. Rolling back to 053-4 fixes the issue.
@cserpentis did you open a bug on buzilla? I've searched and found nothing. If you didn't I can open one so that we don't open duplicates.
I don't know if it related with BTRFS, although all the machines I've tested do indeed have BTRFS
@harald ping
@luminoso no bug opened yet, I still haven't had the time to do proper test and try to extract the logs from dracut shell, I was unable to even drop into the emergency shell. Currently I'm using the previous version of dracut. 053
@cserpentis Ok, thank you. I see you have way more experience and more knowledgeable than me using bodhi :-)
I'll wait for your bug report. Ping me when you do if you need me to also provide some logs
After upgrading to it, my system started hanging at "Switch Root" moment, dbus, bluetooth and NetworkManager startup among the others fails and the system is overall unusable. I had to rollback to 0.53 to have my system back. I'm using mouse + keyboard over bluetooth
I'm facing the same issues as described above: dbus-broker.service fails at startup, which makes bluetooth and NetworkManager not start. There's already a bug report in bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1965859..
