Found the problem on my system () that cannot reboot, suspend, and poweroff. It's because the
amdgpu
driver.On this kernel
5.15.4-200
blacklistedamdgpu
and also update the initramfs withdracut --omit-drivers amdgpu --force
then thereboot
andpoweroff
are working properly. But it's introduce another bug like what happen on kernel
5.12.x
, which the system can't wake up from suspend (suspend are work, but not the wake up) on main monitor on laptop. Also there a some minor glitch on the display on first login to session.flatpak portals still broken because of bug in the kernel

Sleep/suspend is not working, AMD Radeon RX 570, Intel Core i5-9400F.
Also 5.15 series breaks advanced power controls (under/overclocking, under/overvolting, disabling powerstates) on Radeon cards (and not just Polaris as the bug report says):

Works well on Ryzen 5900X, no issues with GPU (RX 6700 XT) as other reports, sleep, reboot shutdown works as expected with no extra actions.
Tested on a variety of arm & aarch64 hardware with no issues.
kernel-5.15.4-201
(scratch build) fixed #2025285, but found some other issue duringkernel-tests
:Overall LGTM so far.
Works for me. Has been up for a few hours now with no issues noticed.
The "enabled" default and performance tests pass OK.

Works here virtual and native (Dell Precision T5610) with connected USB devices working OK off all the internal hubs.
@nivag The only difference between the 200 and 201 builds is a direct revert of a single patch in fuse. This should have no impact whatsoever on those tests.
The new 201is working fine too.
Works well on Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen2!

Formal kernel-regression tests run on Dell Precision T5610 and ASUS G750JS gaming laptop. Everything OK.
sleep works on my Dell Inspiron 3180 with this kernel. I have had some issues with the host not shutting down correctly at times, but it's intermittent. For general daily use the kernel itself works fine

Kernel 5.15.4 breaks Iris Xe Graphics: i915 GPU hang in 5.15.x kernels
Details Description: Since the upgrade to 5.15.x kernels I have regular GPU hangs on my integrated Iris Xe Graphics.
Hang occurs in both the Plasma Wayland session and SDDM which is using X11.
Reverting to 5.14.18 kernel fixes the issue.
