This update is intended to help with any remaining cases where authentication configuration is still not fully updated on upgrade, potentially causing login failure (see #1942443). It should mean that even with not-updated authentication configuration, password-based login still succeeds, though some error messages may appear.

The easy way to test the update is to enable fingerprint auth and checking whether you can do a password authentication after presenting the wrong finger multiple times. Doing this results in the exact same error condition as the misconfiguration does.
