Seems to be working, fixes BZ#2076183 (a regression introduced in 5.16.20).
Working good on KVM
Runs fine for me.
Looks ok for me. Works on baremetal (non UEFI mode) AMD Ryzen5 3600, Mainboard MSI B450M Mortar Max with prop. nvidia driver (510.60.02) from rpmfusion.org (GTX980 card). Works with Gnome-Desktop (Xorg). Regression test passed.
Intel Alder Lake - finally no patches needed.
This update has been pushed to testing.
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
Works.
For me both this kernel and 5.16.20 cause my laptop to not wake from sleep when I open de lid. Kernel 5.16.19 was the last one that worked properly.
I will submit a bug to bugzilla but I' m not sure what the command for relevant logs should be
Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 14ACN6 with AMD Renoir integrated graphics
Seems to work fine on HP EliteBook 840 G6 with UEFI and SecureBoot. No issues to report so far and kernel regression tests both PASS.
Seems to work fine on Lenovo P1 gen2, however following lines in dmesg after waking up from sleep:
[ 93.988541] ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP.NVDN], AE_NOT_FOUND (20211217/psargs-330) [ 93.988548] ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.PCI0.LPCB.EC._Q3C due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20211217/psparse-529)
Didn't happen with previous 5.17.2 kernel. Does not seems to affect the functionality, but worth noting
@agurenko: Looks like a BIOS bug that wasn't detected by the previous kernel. I have "ACPI BIOS Error (bug)" messages in my dmesg output which have been there for a long time, but vaguely remember noticing some of them for the first time after kernel updates, but with no change in functionality. Unfortunately there will be no further BIOS updates for my machine.
no regressions noted
Bluetooth doesn't work with this kernel on my Lenovo T490s. The 5.17.1 kernel worked fine.
dmesg said:
With the good (5.17.1) kernel the firmware loads fine:
i7-9700K(UHD Graphics 630): kernel regression test passed. Works fine for daily use.
X1 Carbon9: kernel regression test passed; works fine for daily use
This bug is what may be causing my issues:

Any chance to get a test build with that patch? Or just wait until the various branches also pick it up?
