DVB-T device works OK on 6.4.14-200.fc38.x86_64.
DVB-T devices fails on 6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64 with:
Sep 15 21:12:07 host kernel: failing symbol_get of non-GPLONLY symbol dib7000p_attach.
Sep 15 21:12:07 host kernel: DVB: Unable to find symbol dib7000p_attach()
I cannot boot into this kernel. It shows Loading Linux 6.4.15 and then hangs until I force restart. I previously disabled IBT for previous builds, and 6.4.14 worked fine.
After reinstalling it, it works. I don't know what happened. I experimented with ibt=off param which I had to use in the past, but now it seems to work either way. I settled on: sudo grubby --info="/boot/vmlinuz-6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64"
index=0 kernel="/boot/vmlinuz-6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64" args="ro rootflags=subvol=root rd.luks.uuid=luks-6a4f05a4-e882-4a05-b600-ea3847c32665 rhgb quiet module_blacklist=hid_sensor_hub nvme.noacpi=1" root="UUID=65c3ea11-4c47-4f1e-ad66-bd1f6541fc20" initrd="/boot/initramfs-6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64.img" title="Fedora Linux (6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64) 38 (Workstation Edition)" id="607af05d76874ab993c8a6fdae8e6556-6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64"
I recently installed F38 on my system , i was facing random firefox crashes , whole system freeze no mouse keyboard working , had to press restart button in order to make it work again , then i switched back to previous 6.2xxx kernel and now everything seems to be working fine just one issue that if i use 165hz display setting memory clock usage always at 100% , i have set it to 60hz so it's fine now , i have uploaded some crash reports and my neofetch details if it helps " https://imgur.com/a/lgjhjls "
Sry i downvoted bugs and test cases too , i didn't know what they are and i could't find edit or delete feedback option so i'm hoping this way i can revert it
it seems like there is some problem with using rams in dual channel mode with xmp enabled , there are crashes , but if i use one ram at a time it's stable , memory is seems okay as i was using both in windows and there were no crashes , even used windows memory diagnostic tool and there were no problems detected , but when i use dual channel in f38 i am facing crashes , sometime when i use glxinfo , system freezes , it seems like more stable when i use one ram at a time , doesn't matter which one but if i use both , firefox tab crashes , and sometimes system freezes.
@gtzhere try to test your RAM with https://www.memtest.org/ And after memtest you could try https://flathub.org/apps/org.mersenne.mprime
