Working as expected.
Plasma desktop crashes when firefox started from quick launch on panel
Same as @nucleo on amdgpu (RX 7900XTX) at least whole plasma crashes on attempt to launch Firefox, downgrading to previous version fixes it
Plasma crash workaround from KDE Bugzilla: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475266
Comment out line 54 (DBusActivatable=true) from /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop file.
Same as others - crashes Plasma when launching from the Task Manager in the panel. No crash when opening from the Application Launcher.
same behavior as seen by @unakittyyy : plasmashell (wayland) crashes when launching firefox from the task manager; launching via Bash and Application Launcher seems to work
A bug report seems to be here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2242454
That was probably caused by @stransky 's recent fiddling around with the .desktop file, probably specifically https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/firefox/c/85de885472621621af497b204a2f45f7122e8a23?branch=rawhide .
I would strongly recommend you use the workaround suggested by @kjoonlee, do not downgrade Firefox. This version is a critical security update.
